Walking towards Setti Fatma
The trail gradually leaves the bustle of the valley behind. The ground becomes rockier, the air feels cooler and the sound of running water accompanies you as you climb.
Your guide stays with you, shows you the safest passages and adapts the pace. Nobody is trying to reach the top first. You walk, breathe, look around and let the Atlas Mountains do the rest.
What to bring: good walking shoes. The route includes rocks, steps and uneven sections that can sometimes be slippery.

Then the water appears between the rocks. Setti Fatma waterfall is not an enormous spectacle: it feels more intimate, more natural and almost hidden. That is precisely what gives it its charm.

01 How long does the excursion last?
The excursion lasts a full day. The exact departure time and approximate return time are confirmed beforehand and may vary slightly according to traffic, season and your group’s pace.
02 Where will we be picked up?
Pick-up is from your hotel, riad or holiday accommodation in Marrakech. If your accommodation cannot be reached by vehicle, particularly in some parts of the medina, a nearby accessible meeting point will be arranged.
03 What is included in the price?
The price includes air-conditioned transport, a traditional breakfast in a Berber home, the guided walk towards Setti Fatma, one bottle of water, a drink and rest time beside the river, as well as the visit to a Berber kitchen on the return journey.
04 Is the walk to the waterfall difficult?
The path is rocky and includes steps, slopes and uneven sections that may sometimes be slippery. Good walking shoes are essential. Your guide adapts the pace as much as possible, but the climb may not be suitable for travellers with reduced mobility, vertigo or significant joint pain.
05 Is the excursion suitable for children?
Yes. Children can discover the valley under their parents’ supervision. The length of the day and rocky terrain should however be taken into account. Depending on their age and confidence walking, they may need help on certain sections. Each child counts as one participant.
06 How much does the private excursion cost?
The price is €189 for one or two people, then €35 per additional person, up to six travellers. The total is therefore €224 for three people, €259 for four, €294 for five and €329 for six.
07 Is lunch included?
No. Lunch is not included in the basic price. A traditional meal in the Berber home can be added for €25 per adult and €13 per child. Water is included. This is separate from the riverside break and drink, which are already included in the excursion.
08 Can we tell you about allergies or dietary requirements?
Yes, and it is important to tell us when booking. We pass this information to the family preparing the meal and explain honestly what can be adapted. In the case of a severe allergy, the meal option must be checked with us before confirmation.
09 Can the departure time and pace be adapted?
Yes. The vehicle, driver and guide are reserved for your group. Departure time, pace and breaks are prepared with you. The itinerary remains subject to traffic, weather, trail conditions and your guide’s safety instructions.
10 Can we book the Ourika Valley with the Girls Only option?
Yes. When requesting your booking, you can choose the Girls Only option and request a female guide, subject to availability. The driver is not necessarily female.
11 How do booking, payment and cancellation work?
Once you have selected your date, number of travellers and any options, we check availability and confirm the total excursion price. An online deposit is then paid to confirm your booking. This deposit forms part of the total price shown and is not an extra charge. The remaining balance is paid directly to the guide or local service provider in Morocco according to your booking confirmation. Cancellation, modification and refund conditions are provided in the booking terms before payment.
